Samsung launched its much awaited flagship smartphone the Galaxy S IV at a big press event in New York City on March 14th. The South Korean company was hoping to sweep the tech analysts and potential buyers of the Galaxy S IV with its immaculate specs and some brand new features. However, things did not go exactly the way Samsung has originally planned because fans and technoloy analysts have severely criticised the Korean manufacturer for persisting with the design of Galaxy S III and using the same old plastic cover for the device. There is no doubt that the 5-inch Galaxy S IV is far above other smartphones when it comes to software and features, but unfortunately it is missing the metal casing which even HTC has adapted during this year for its flagship device. This gave birth to several rumours which states that Samsung is fed up with everyone criticising the company over using the plastic body in Galaxy S IV and now it has decided to cover the Galaxy Note III with metal.
To further give credence to this rumour, a series of newly leaked images of a mystery Samsung device have appeared online. The newly leaked images are showing a device that could be the next Galaxy Note phablet from Samsung, as one of the photos is probably showing a slot to keep the stylus or S Pen of the device. These images have been leaked by @evleaks that has a decent history of revealing forthcoming devices. However, since these leaked images are not clearly showing the mystery device therefore it cannot be said for sure that it is the Galaxy Note III. In fact, the device in the leaked images could turn out to be some other phone that does not even belong to the Galaxy line-up of Samsung or it may just be a wonder of a lab work.
Aside from pictures and speculations, it does appear that Samsung also wants to get rid of the plastic bodies, which are associated with it for a long time now because it’s rival smartphone manufacturers have either switched to the metal bodies or are about to do so. For instance Nokia has showed intentions to use the aluminium body in its future products rather than plastic bodies. Samsung must be aware of this fact and hopefully is working on it to give a tough time to its rivals once again.
