BlackBerry, formally known as Research In Motion, has been very consistent with meeting many of its proposed goals for the launch of the BlackBerry 10 platform. One fulfilled promise was the launch of the latest BlackBerry Z10 smartphone on January 30th and making 70,000 apps available on the company’s app store known as BlackBerry World. The Canadian firm has also made BlackBerry Link available for download before the new BB10 all-touch device hits stores. Early adopters of the BB10 smartphone will not face any problem in syncing their device with their desktop thanks to the app that just require the user to connect the phone to the computer with a wire.

BlackBerry Link is basically an updated BlackBerry Desktop from the previous versions of OS. With the help of this desktop software, users will be able to sync and backup content like video, audio and images on their BB10 smartphones.

However, older BlackBerry handsets that are running on 7.1 or earlier versions of the OS are not compatible with BlackBerry Link therefore such users should use the old Desktop app to sync their devices. In contrast to these old handsets, the Playbook slates that are powered by the 2.1 version of BlackBerry PlayBook OS will work well with the brand new edition.

Those who have compatible devices or a new BlackBerry Z10, can download the BlackBerry Link software without any problems.
