Building something from scratch is not easy but making a working gadget out of junk is even more difficult. Foraging the required materials and then building a functioning device from it not only requires a lot of hard work, but wits as well. Brighton-based, Maxim Grew, who is a product designer and photographer, has stunned everyone by making an instant camera from a number of Popsicle ice cream’s sticks, a Polaroid film holder and a few other items. The mindboggling part is that the instant camera works quite well as you can see the second picture on the left was taken from this unconventional gadget. The result of this camera is pretty remarkable, especially if one considers the material used in its making.

To build this camera Grew did not lay down any plans because he started making it one day when he was feeling bored. It was an unintentional effort and the Brighton-based designer was successful in pulling off his idea. Apart from using wooden sticks and Polaroid film holder, Grew made bellows with the help of duct tape and a piece of card, whereas the lens of the device came from a low-priced camera. Besides this he utilized Polaroid Type 100 film and then took the picture given above in order to prove that his camera really works.

Although focusing the camera seems complicated it is still unbelievable that Grew was able to use every day items to accomplish the task.
