Temple Run 2 Becomes Fastest Downloaded Game in History with Over 50 million Downloads In 2 Weeks

Temple Run 2 saw more than 20 million downloads in the first four days of its launch on the iOS platform, has now crossed a whopping 50 million downloads within just two weeks time. More importantly with the attainment of this milestone, Temple Run 2 has now become the fastest downloaded game in history. Temple Run 2 is a sequel to Temple Run and it is now available on both iOS and Android platform for download. The Android version of this popular game was released just seven days ago and it is expected this made a decent contribution in achieving the 50 million milestone.

 

However, at this point in time this cannot be said for sure because the developer of the game, Imangi Studios, has issued figures without any break down of numbers between iOS and Android platform, despite the fact that it does distinguish between Amazon’s and Google’s app stores. Nevertheless, there is a high possibility that iOS made the major contribution in the feat, as Temple Run 2 was first made available on Apple’s platform.

 

On this occasion the co-founder of Imangi, Keith Shepherd said, “Temple Run has evolved into something so much bigger than us. The game has performed beyond our wildest dreams, and we are thrilled that gamers and fans have embraced Temple Run 2 in such a short period of time.”
