Except for the Japanese electronics manufacturer, Sony, and couple of other smartphone makers, none of the major players in the mobile market revealed new handsets at the 2013 Consumers Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas back in January. Therefore, now all eyes are on Mobile World Congress 2013 that will start from February 25th and last till 28th of the month in the city of Barcelona. It is expected that several top ranked smartphone manufacturers like LG, Samsung and others may unveil new line-ups of their mobile phones at the event. According to the latest report, South Korean company, LG has taken the lead in this regard by sending out invitations of its big press event that will be held on the very first day (February 25) of MWC.
At a glance this invitation from LG does not look unusual, but upon taking a closer look you will be able to read between the lines. The Korean manufacturer has tried to give a clue to attendees about what to expect by sending the specifically designed invitation, which features a large digit “4” which is followed by three lines of text “save the date”, “more from LG” and “see the difference.” The digit “4” along with “more from LG” makes more sense, as anybody can easily guess that LG is rolling out four new devices at the upcoming event. Whereas the last text of the invitation “see the difference” is hard to interpret, as it could be anything. A wild guess could be that LG might be trying to say that its forthcoming handsets will be different from other in terms of technology or may be looks.
This last text can also be interpreted as new kind of display, but this is completely a supposition. As LG has not given out any details about their press meeting at MWC except that it will introduce a new series of mobile phones at the biggest mobile tradeshow in the world. However, some recent alleged leaked images have given us an idea that two kinds of LG Optimus G Pro smartphones are coming our way. As far as the other two devices from LG are concerned, so far there is no update available on them.
Therefore, to find out more about all these novel devices of LG and how they will look like, we have to wait a little, as MWC is now just two weeks away.
