Marketing-Optimized Website Building Platform Bislr Launches With $3.5 million Series A funding

Launching a website and marketing it to customers while dealing with all the different aspects of a business can be a time consuming task. Michael Sharkey, the CEO of recently launched startup Bislr, faced very similar issues in his previous ventures. That is why he created Bislr to help his customers create and launch a website quickly with all the marketing tools needed to run a successful site. Bislr takes advantage of marketing automation (MA) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools by combining them into a platform that utilizes other analytics along with a drag and drop interface. The startup is very focused on marketers who do not have web site development and coding skills. Bislr give these marketers the ability to launch an idea quickly and start their site working for them instead of wasting time on development. Bislr’s launch comes along with the news that the startup has secured $3.5 million in a Series A funding round. Tim Draper and Terry and Katrina Garnett participated in the raise that was led by Southern Cross Venture Partners.

 

The recently launched service has many features including “social apps” which allows users to efficiently put content form their social content onto their site. There is also the ability to embed videos onto the site with out using a service like YouTube. The sites built using Bislr also have the latest trends in mind and are optimized for mobile and tablets. A online marketers favorite tool, A/B testing, is also automated an after testing a  small group the platform selects which ever version gets better results.
Bislr also follows visitors to get as much information about them to help the website owner in attracting new customers. The system create a profile of each viewer and “everything they’re doing when they’re touching the site.” The platform searches the web to get more information bout the visitor including their social media data. That means a Bislr user can track a customers tweets and Facebook updates once they visit the site and monitor their reaction to the product or services.
Bislr was founded by Sharkey and his two brothers who initially tested their site with several small companies but are now ready to launch the service for the general public. The Marketing-Optimized website building platform is located in San Francisco.
