Previously the Facebook page for Taiwan-based HTC hinted that the company is holding an event on Tuesday, February 19 and it is expected that it will officially announce its flagship smartphone HTC One on this occasion. Some of the top features of the smartphone are already out before its announcement thanks to leaked information and images that had surfaced over the internet in the recent past. However, one thing that is still missing is the price for the device, but now its cost is also not a secret any more, as according to PhoneArena the 16GB version of HTC One will be offered at a price of $199.99 to customers of AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, whereas the 32GB edition will be proffered at a price of $299.99.

In addition to this, PhoneArena has also reported that the cover for HTC One will apparently be of metal and it will be made available in two colours, white/silver and black plus there will be stereo speakers mounted on the front of this cell phone. As far as the soft-touch plastic chassis of HTC One that we have come across earlier is concerned it appears that it was a prototype and the real device possesses the metal cover as shown in the picture given above.

It is anticipated that HTC One will be a fresh addition to the list of smartphones from the manufacturer because this handset is likely to bear a new Sense 5.0 interface together with the stereo speakers on the front. Moreover, rumour also has it that its display is about 4.7-inches and it incorporates two cameras, a 13-megapixel at the back and 2 megapixel on the front for video chatting. The camera of HTC One is expected to have the finest pixel density in its group, as it possesses a brand new technology that throws out the pixels jointly as Ultrapixels, which imitates the 808 PureView of Nokia.

To the extent processor of HTC One is concerned it packs a 1.7Ghz quad-core processor that is powered by an impressive 2300mAh battery. All in all, HTC One seems to be another great effort by the Taiwan-based company that has earlier impressed its aficionados with 4.3-ich HTC One S and 4.7-inch One X. However, so far HTC has not been able to push its earnings into a positive zone, as the announcement of its Q4 result was not impressive at all. Let’s hope that HTC One will turn things around for the Taiwanese manufacturer.
