Popular American singer, song writer and actress, Alicia Keys, has remained in the lime light since her first album was released but BlackBerry has given the award winning musician a new challenge when the CEO of the Canadian smartphone manufacturer, Thorsten Heins, introduced her to the crowd at the BB10 launch event as the Global Creative Director of the company on January 30th. As a result of that Alicia Keys once again grabbed the headlines but many critics termed this move from Heins and company as strange for a number of reasons. Keys was close to proving these critics right when she got involved in the iPhone controversy shortly after the launch of BlackBerry Z10. However, it seems that the 32 years old celebrity has swiftly recovered from that incident and is now handling affairs related to her new post at BlackBerry office, as she revealed the first chapter of the “Keep Moving Projects” through her Twitter account on Tuesday, February 19th.
Yes this was the same Twitter account over which Keys was caught tweeting from an iPhone and later she blamed hackers for creating the mess. Her spokesperson claimed that her account got hacked and “Alicia Keys no longer has an iPhone and uses her BlackBerry Z10 exclusively.” The representative of the celebrity also added that Keys stopped using iPhone just before the launch of BB10.
A two minute video of Keep Moving Projects has been released in which Keys is explaining the project that is ” a collaborative journey to determine what keeps all of us moving.”
Here are the exact words of Keys’ tweet right from her Twitter account:
“It’s here!!. My project w/ @BlackBerry! Your photos + a #AKGirlOnFire music vid = amazing!! Share a photo! http://blck.by/Zpps4d #KeepMoving.”
The launch of this new project will help Keys to get in touch with her fans “in a new way,” as she has taken her latest album ‘Girl On Fire’ on tour during which the celebrity will visit different cities across the globe. With this project Keys looks to “get under the skin of your city and see what you’re all about.” During the tour Keys will shoot a unique video for each city, which will not only feature pictures of fans, but it will also be shown during her concert, according to BlackBerry.
To become a part of this project users need to submit their photos and city.
