To promote their products and ideas, businesses are coming up with different advertising ideas so they can grab the attention of potential consumers. However, a Japanese company called Absolute Territory PR has introduced a witty new advertising idea that will completely change the way companies run their advertising campaigns. According to the Daily Mail, Territory PR has registered about 1300 Japanese women, which will rent their bare legs for advertising. It means that the registered models have to wear either shorts or a mini skirt that can expose their legs as much as possible, so they can stick colourful and temporary tattoos on their bare legs in order to grab the attention of the people around them. Daily Mail also reports that businesses are jumping on the trend as they find it pretty interesting and therefore they are using the bare legs of Japanese women to promote their products in Japan. All these Japanese women need to do is to stick the temporary tattoos of businesses’ products on to their legs and just go about their usual business around the city. It’s just like modelling for a clothing line, but the entire city is their ramp for the catwalk and their aim is to grab the attention of people walking around them.

An idea like renting bare legs for advertisement sounds weird to many, but not to people in Japan because apart from its advance technology the country is also well-known for its outrageous fashions and vivacious culture.

The job description does not just limit the women to walking around the city, these women are also encouraged to post their pictures on social websites accounts because there is a huge number of online audiences too. By tapping the online world the advertiser is enlarging the circle of advertisement. Most importantly, these women have found another way to earn money, as they get paid between $13 and $128 for walking in shorts or miniskirts.

Talking to the Rocket News 24, Eichi Atsumi of the service company said that, “We hope registered members will have fun taking part in this.” Though, the bare leg advertisement seems bit odd, it has been assured that companies will not violet moral guidelines, as only 18 years or above girls are allowed to take part in this sort of campaign.
