Previously we at TQ reported that a new yellow Nokia Lumia phone made a short appearance in the TV commercial for Lumia 920. Windows Phone fans were however left in the dark as we did not get to hear anything about the mysterious yellow handset after that. Now new leaked images have emerged online and show a clear view of two other Lumia phones, the mid-level Lumia 720 and a low-end Lumia 520. This clearly indicates that Nokia is gearing up to introduce two more Windows 8 mobile phones. In addition, it is highly likely that they will be announced at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. The leaked photos of these two handsets do not offer their specifications, but one can easily guess that Lumia 720 will possess better features than Lumia 520.
However, in comparison to the Lumia 820 there is a high probability that Lumia 720 will have slightly toned down specs, but it does not seem to be missing the colourful back covers that its siblings also have. Moreover, the alleged pictures also show that Nokia is done with the removable back covers because the Lumia 720 is looking more compact, lighter and thinner as compared to its predecessors. Although the leaked images of Lumia 720 and 520 have given us a good idea of what the devices will look like the specs are not confirmed. We have to wait until the Mobile World Congress 2013 which begins in Barcelona or whenever Nokia will bring them to light.
Until then satisfy yourself with the rumoured specifications of the Nokia Lumia handsets which according to the report claims that the 720 boasts a 4.3-inch screen that sports a 800×480 resolution and ClearBlack display. To the extent its processor is concerned it is expected to pack a 1Ghz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus SoC, while its RAM would be of 512MB and the internal storage capacity would be around 8GB. Rumour also has it that there would be two cameras on this device; one at the back and other at the front. The rear camera for the Lumia 720 is anticipated to be 8-megapixel, whereas the front camera would be 2-megapixel.
On the other hand, according to latest rumours Lumia 520 will feature a 4.0-inch display along with 5-megapixel rear camera, 8GB of internal storing capacity and 512MB of RAM. It is expected that Nokia may not release the low-end Windows Phone in Canada immediately because the Finnish mobile manufacturer has just launched Lumia 620 just at $250. Otherwise it Lumia 520 can affect the sales of the newly launched handset.
