Canadian Startup SendtoNews Strikes Worldwide Multiyear Digital Deal with Nascar

The leading sports video news agency from Canada, SendtoNews, has struck a worldwide multi-year digital deal with Nascar, the family run business that governs and sanctions auto racing events. As a result of this deal, SendtoNews has now developed a partnership with Nascar that will give the Vancouver-based company universal rights to distribute highlights of Nascar races and other content to member news outlets through its News Partnership Network. More importantly the deal between the two companies will begin right away from February 24 when the season-opening race, the iconic 55th Daytona 500 will take place. The CEO of SnedtoNews, Greg Bobolo, said on the occasion that, “Nascar has chosen SendtoNews to be a key part of its digital communications strategy, which is a great addition to our powerful assortment of content. This deal enables SendtoNews to guarantee our media and advertising partners complete highlights of Nascar and multi-year access to one of the largest and most engaged audiences in pro sport.”

 

The digital partnership agreement comprises of Daytona 500 highlights, the Nationwide Series, Camping Truck Series and the Spring Cup Series. SendtoNews has made it known that it will provide “accessible, high-quality HD highlight packages” of these races.

 

Vice President of Digital Media at Nascar, Marc Jenkins said that, “We’re always thinking about ways to offer fans more Nascar content, no matter where they are. This partnership allows us to better reach fans in communities across the country and enhance the coverage of our sport at the local level. After fully vetting the category, we feel confident that SendtoNews’ flexible platform provides the most turnkey solution in the local content space and the most powerful way to distribute our content to local outlets.”

 

The Canada based startup has also made it known that “highlights of race day content will be ready for download the morning after each event,” according to TechVibes. SendtoNews has started its cloud-based multimedia operation back in 2010 when the Winter Olympics were taking place. Today the portfolio of the startup has grown quite large and it is still on the rise. Its roster includes some of premium sports organizations such as America’s Cup Sailing, American Hockey League, Major League Soccer and Western Hockey.

 

At this point in time SendtoNews also has offices in San Francisco and New York apart from its home base in Vancouver. From all these offices SnedtoNews connects with news outlets, leading brands and sporting organizations by syndicating the best sports video highlights.
