We have been hearing for quite some time now that Samsung is gearing up to unveil the Galaxy S IV on March 14th but the Korean company did not acknowledge such reports. However, just when everybody put their focus on Mobile World Congress, Samsung bounced back into the news as it has finally unveiled a teaser poster of its March 14th event in New York which stated, “Ready 4 The Show.” More importantly the line below this caption says “Come And Meet The Next Galaxy,” which has reconfirmed that the next gen of Galaxy S devices will be announced at the upcoming event. Just before the release of the teaser poster, Reuters had reported that Samsung will reveal its flagship device the Galaxy S IV in New York on March 14.

Last year Samsung organised its official event in London, but now it is holding it in New York, which indicates that this time around the South Korean manufacturer is focusing more on the American market with the launch of its next gen smartphone in the country.

Earlier the Edaily news website cited Samsung’s executive JK Shin saying that, “We introduced the Galaxy S III in London last year, and this time we changed the venue (to New York)… as we were bombarded with requests from U.S. mobile carriers to unveil the Galaxy S IV in the country.”

For Samsung, the Galaxy S series phones proved a real game changer because with its advent the multinational corporation was able to snatch the world’s biggest mobile phone maker title from Nokia. Earlier in January, Samsung made it known that its Galaxy S shipments had surpassed the 100 million mark which includes 41 million units of Galaxy S III alone.

From this one can judge how badly users are waiting for the launch of the Galaxy S IV that is expected to pack a 13-megapixel camera, a fully HD display and a lot more. However, as far as its processor is concerned rumour has it that it will not feature the recently unveiled Exynos Octa processor from Samsung and in fact it will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The Exynos Octa is Samsung’s first homemade chipset and it is rated quite high when it comes to the top processors available in the market. Therefore, if the S IV does not bear an Exynos Octa processor it will be distressing for Samsung fans.

In spite of such reports there is lot of excitement in the air since Samsung has released the poster of its event and one reason behind it is that the Korean company is going to challenge Apple face to face with Galaxy S IV on its home ground.
