Project Glass is one of the most futuristic programs from Google and the company looks set to offer consumers a mass produced augmented reality head-mounted display (HMD) device called Google Glass. The device works similarly to a smartphone as it displays information as it is activated with voice command feature. Users can interact with the device and ask anything or connect with the internet, snap a picture, record video, share what they see, get directions, even translate their voice and much more. All these superlative features have today made Google Glass the most desired or wanted device in the world as everyone wants to get their hands on this augmented reality head-mounted display (HMD). However, Google has no plans to launch the device right away for the consumers but surprisingly someone has already made it available for sale through eBay.

According to Mashable, “In a spelling error-filled post, a seller from Cleveland, Ohio, claims that he or she has been selected as an “early adapter” for the high-tech glasses and will be picking up a pair this week at a Project Glass launch event in New York. The auction started at $1,500 — the going price of Google Glass — but quickly skyrocketed and is now nearly $16,000.” The auction suppose to end on Thursday, February28th, but according to the latest update the listing has been taken down from eBay.

Here are the exact words from the message of the Google Glass seller, “If i am offered a choice, I will choose the color of your choice (see listing picture for variants). Project Glass will be shipped with Insurance at my expence, and signature upon delivery, so please use an address you can accept delivery in person.”

The seller of the Google Glass has decent ratings on eBay for his or her previous auctions, which comprises of a body pillow, a 16GB of flash drive, a number of “high quality sheet metal paperclips” along with other items. However, as compared to the value of Google Glass the items mentioned above are not worth as much and caution is suggested in such a scenario.

Google has organised a few hackathons during this year where developers got the chance to practically use the Google Glass. In addition to this, the search engine giant has also started taking pre-orders for the futuristic gadget from consumers who described how they plan to use the device. Nevertheless, a fully polished Google Glass will only be made available to consumers at the end of 2013.
