At this point in time everyone in the tech world is eagerly waiting for Samsung’s next Galaxy smartphone that will make its debut on March 14th in New York City, where the South Korean manufacturer is organising a big event to uncover its flagship device. Since there is only a week left in the launch of the Galaxy S IV a lot of rumours and speculation regarding the features of the smartphone have gripped the tech world. As a result of this people are either asking which of the many rumours regarding the S IV are true including the eye-scrolling feature for reading text without using your hands and the possibility of the device being a world phone. However, once the Galaxy S IV becomes available all these questions will come to an end, but after that the immediate question will be what’s next for Samsung. The answer to this question has been revealed by The Korea Times, which has reported that an official of the Galaxy phone maker has told them on the condition of anonymity that ”Samsung is working on introducing a new phablet using a 5.9-inch organic light-emitting diode (OLED) screen.”

This report apparently indicates that Samsung is gearing up to launch the next Galaxy Note, probably to be called Note III. However, this was not all that the source revealed, as he went on and divulged that Samsung will pack its homegrown Exynos octa-core chipset into the Galaxy Note III, but it is doubtful that the new hybrid device will feature flexible display technology.

The source did not give out any further details about the hybrid device and did not divulged whether the Galaxy Note III will sport the eye-scrolling feature that we may see the in the upcoming Galaxy S IV. Nevertheless, with the passage of time it is expected that we may come across some more rumours related to the Galaxy Note III, which may reveal some more features.

Currently we can only guess about the features and the report from The Korea Times is under question because the credibility of anonymous sources is quite hard to assess. But the speculation of Galaxy Note II’s successor makes sense because if we look at the history of Samsung launches, the previous editions of the phablet hit the market after the release of Galaxy S Series smartphone. So be ready to see the next Note once Samsung gets free from S IV.
