BlackBerry has launched its latest BB10 hardware and software on February 5th and has released its ecosystem in more than 20 countries across the world since then. At the same time BlackBerry has also increased the number of apps on its app store which started from just over 70,000 and has now grown to more than 80,000 apps. However, this is not just the end of the road for the Canadian smartphone manufacturer as BlackBerry is looking to continue this momentum by starting “BlackBerry Jam Starter Sessions,” a cross-country developer outreach program.

Revealing the details about the session, BlackBerry’s Manager Developer Evangelists, Tom Anderson said that, “The BlackBerry Jam Starter Session will take you through the basic principles of building BlackBerry apps, with an overview of what to expect through the process. After the session, you will have the opportunity to start building your own BlackBerry apps with support from on-site BlackBerry Evangelists.”

The price of BlackBerry Jam Starter Sessions’ ticket is $25 and the first all-day session will take place in Vancouver on Tuesday, March 19, which is followed by Jam Starters in Saskatoon, Montreal and Halifax.

This momentum clearly indicates that BlackBerry is in full swing. One reason behind this is the one million BB10 smartphones orders from a single enterprise partner. The EVP Global Sales of BlackBerry, Rick Costanzo said, “An order for one million devices is a tremendous vote of confidence in BlackBerry 10. Consumers are ready for a new user experience, and BlackBerry 10 delivers. With strong partner support, coupled with this truly re-invented new platform, we have a powerful recipe for success.”

The single one million BB10 smartphone order not only proves all the analysts claiming the negative sales of BlackBerry Z10 wrong, but it has also proven to be a historic moment for BlackBerry because the company has never ever received such a large order before. On top of this the company is starting the shipments of the order immediately.

Prior to this, when BlackBerry launched its all-touch Z10 in Canada and the UK at the same time, the smartphone was warmly welcomed by consumers. BlackBerry recently declared that the company has ended up selling more BlackBerry phones on the launch date of Z10 as compared to the launch of any other BlackBerry smartphone.

Similar kind of statement came from couple of telecom carriers, who rated BlackBerry Z10 as their best selling smartphone since its launch.
