A few days after the launch of Samsung Galaxy S IV several leaked images appeared online and unveiled a small variant of the device known as Galaxy S IV Mini. Along with the leaked images some specs of the S IV Mini were also revealed as a result of that now the upcoming device is not a surprise anymore. Therefore, Samsung has decided to officially announce the Galaxy S IV Mini earlier than the company had originally planned and we could hear the announcement as soon as this week, according to SamMobile. Although, Samsung is announcing the Galaxy S IV Mini before its original date, the South Korean manufacturer will make the device available for sale according to the original plan at the end of May or start of June. Possibly because the bigger version of S IV Mini is likely to hit the shelves at the end of April and perhaps the Galaxy S IV maker wants to keep a gap between the launch of two models, so its sales will not be affected.

According to the report, the outflow of technical details has spoiled the party for Samsung therefore it forced the Korean company to make the decision. The specs which leaked with the images of S IV Mini suggested that the smaller iteration will boast a 4.3-inch AMOLED qHD display with TW Nature UX 2.0 and its pixel density will be 256ppi that is lower than the 5-inch Galaxy S IV. Rumour also has it that the S IV Mini will be powered by Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and it will feature an 8-megapixel rear camera. The handset is said to be launched in both single and dual-sim versions, but their chipsets would be different, as single sim edition of S IV Mini will sport a quad-core chip, whereas the DUOS model reportedly incorporate a dual-core processor.

The leaked technical detail has even revealed the model numbers of the two editions of Galaxy S IV Mini, which are as GT-I9192 (dual SIM) and GT-I9190 (single SIM). To the extent its processor is concerned the smartphone is expected to feature the brand new homemade chip from Samsung, Exynos 5210, that might not be as powerful as 5-inch Galaxy S IV’s processor, but still it cannot be under rated. It is believed that S IV Mini will come in similar White Frost and Black Mist colours in which Samsung has launched its bigger device.
