TQ App Review – Camera Awesome

Camera Awesome is an app for iOS devices that enables users to take pictures, edit them and share them with friends over different social networks. In many ways, it is better than the camera function already installed in iOS and has gained immense popularity. This app is a product of SmugMug and is available for free.

What’s good?

 

The most important thing is that this app provides many new and improved features as compared to the camera function already installed in iOS. The cherry on top of this photo dream is the fact that this app is free in its basic form, with the option to pay to get some additional features. Capturing pictures is quite easy and the app not only allows image stabilisation, but it also has separate focus point and exposure options, making your photography experience a lot easier. Moreover, the app also offers video recording. When it comes to editing, it does not require a background in photography or rocket science. You can easily choose from the free available effects to make your pictures better, but you will have to pay to get all of the available effects. Another positive aspect of the app is that it allows you to connect with plenty of social networking sites where you can share you pictures easily.

 

What’s not?

 

While the app is certainly better than the native iOS camera function, it lacks a panorama mode. Moreover, most of the features are free, but the entire app cannot be used without paying some amount which may rub of us inherently frugal types the wrong way.

 

Our Take

 

If you are an iOS user, this app will not disappoint because it is far better than the function already present in your smartphone. Furthermore, many of the features do not charge you anything so it is fairly easy to extract a lot of gain out of this app.
