When South Korean smartphone maker LG launched its flagship device Optimus G it was hoping that it would be greeted warmly by the consumers, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. However, LG did not lose hope and came out with an even bigger and better successor of the device, Optimus G Pro, to give an unparalleled experience to users. This time the Korean manufacturer was able to create a lot of noise not only among tech analysts, but also among users. Both were quite excited about the new LG Optimus G Pro and they were eagerly waiting to get their hands on the device. As a result of that just 40 days after it was released in Korea, LG declared that it has sold 500,000 units of Optimus G Pro.

Although, it was a great feat by LG, the Optimus G Pro cannot be mentioned with the rival smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung Galaxy S IV and HTC One because to make it large the Korean company needs to launch the new handset in the United States because the US is one of the biggest smartphone markets in the world and Optimus G Pro still has not made its debut in the country. The US is still waiting for the device with its 5.5-inch Full HD display, 13-megpixel rear camera, 2GB of RAM, quad-core 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. LG needs to finally decide whether it wants to become a big player in the smartphone market or not, if yes then, leaving a big market like the US vacant could prove a costly miss for the company.

The LG Optimus G Pro is really a first-rate effort from the Korean electronics maker, as it boasts great features. In fact, recently it was updated with a new feature that has enabled the front camera of the Optimus G Pro to pause the video when the user takes his or her eyes off the screen and plays it again when user looks back at the screen. Besides this LG Optimus G Pro has great looks too, although, its design cues are taken from Galaxy Note II, but the smartphone also has the superlative features to compete with the phablet. LG has already sold half a million units of the G Pro without launching it in the US, so imagine what will be the figure when the company will release it in the country.
