A blogger from Russia, Eldar Murtazin, revealed that Nokia is gearing up to bring in a new top notch Windows Phone 8 handset with the code name Catwalk. Now another blogger, Flavio from Italy, has provided the specs of the Nokia Catwalk that is also known as Lumia 928 and is believed to have an aluminium cover rather than a colourful plastic body like the current models from the Finnish company. The Italian blogger tweeted that the forthcoming handset packs an octaOLED screen that measures about 4.5-inches and produces a 768×1280 resolution. As far as the processor is concerned, Flavio says it bears a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset, whereas the internal storage capacity of Lumia 928 is said to be 16GB and it boasts 1GB of RAM.
Flavio states that the rear camera of the Nokia Lumia 928 is 8.7-megapixel and has only one flash and that too is an LCD, whereas previous reports suggests that it has a dual flash, one with LCD light and other with Xeon. Previous reports also indicated that Lumia 928 is 10.2mm thick, but Flavio tweeted that the impending smartphone is barely 8.4mm thick. The blogger also made it known that a 2000mAh battery will power the handset and it is anticipated to be non-removable.
It is believed that Nokia Catwalk or Lumia 928, will be released in different colours including Black, Red, Cyan and White. Rumour has it that Nokia could make the Lumia 928 available for sale sometime between the launch date of Samsung Galaxy S IV and iPhone 5S, the next flagship smartphone from Apple. If this rumour proved true then, it would not be a good decision from Nokia, as the Finnish mobile manufacturer needs more time to launch Windows-based phones so they will do well and drag the company out of its downward spiral.
Although the leaked images of Nokia Lumia 928 model have appeared online sometime ago, which confirmed that the device will be released in four colours on Verizon, Flavio mentioned that T-Mobile in the US will be the other carrier that will make this handset available to its customers. Moreover, @evleaks that holds a pretty good record when it comes to leaking pictures of forthcoming devices, has unveiled a new image of Lumia 928 with Verizon brand can be seen clearly.
