Toronto-based Top Hat Monocle declared on Thursday, April18th that they had added two new people to their executive team. One of the new recruits to Top Hat Monocle’s executive panel is Ralf Riekers, who is a veteran from the SaaS industry. The other is Malgosia Green, who is an executive from the educational industry. Riekers will take the role of chief financial officer at Top Hat Monocle, whereas Malgosia will be the chief product officer for the Canadian startup. Prior to joining the Canadian company, Reiker has led Eloqua through an initial public offering (IPO) and he was part of the management when Oracle acquired the company. Malgosia on the other hand was founder and CEO of Savvica, a firm that was dedicated to providing online marketing services to educational institutes in the US and India.
Top Hat Monocle provides homework innovations and technology-based classroom has also described how it will use the experience of the two members. According to the company, Riekers will take care of Top Hat Monocle’s finances, improve back-end process for the company and maintain relationships with venture capitalists. On the other hand, Malgosia will be given the responsibility to handle the product road map of the Canadian company. In addition to this, she will work closely with marketing teams, account and development management.
On this occasion, Top Hat Monocle’s co-founder and chief executive officer, Mike Silagadze said that, “I’m very pleased to welcome both Ralf and Malgosia to our executive team, moves that will help us to capture an even larger share of the classroom market.”
He also said that, “Ralf is someone who doesn’t just know accounting, but has the HR, operation and systems experience that will help us to improve the back office side of the company, making sure all departments have the resources they need. Malgosia is an experienced leader and product marketing expert, and her previous experience founding and running an online marketing firm in the higher education space will prove invaluable.”
After accepting the new job at Top Hat Monocle, Riekers stated that, “Top Hat Monocle is a fast-growing and disruptive company and I want to use my expertise to help it grow even faster and move to the next level in market reach and revenues.”
Adding to it, Malgosia said that, “I look forward to aggressively marketing Top Hat Monocle while driving innovation with the product development team so we can ensure our service remains the industry standard.”
