Vancouver based HootSuite, the creators behind the innovative and standard setting social media management dashboard. The company has been able to offer its 5 million plus clients with a means of easily and effectively curating their social media presence for maximal effect.
According to a recent survey by Pingdom, it was determined that HootSuite was the Social Media Management System (SMMS) of choice for more large corporate brands than any other such system. The list of companies included in the survey totaled 96 and was based off of Interbrand’s Top 100 Global Brands listing.
Each one of the companies Twitter’s presence was analysed in order to determine which SMMS if any the company was using based on the last 20 tweets send from each account. Based on this total, it was determined that HootSuite was the SMMS of choice for nearly 21% of the world’s largest brands including H&M, Tiffany and Co., Gap, EBay, Porsche, IBM, UPS and Panasonic.
Trailing behind Vancouver’s HootSuite were TweetDeck and SocialEngage, who were the choice of 17% and 9% of the field respectively. Their clients include but are not limited to Reuters, Smirnoff, Sprite and Toyota. TweetDeck is owned by Twitter itself, representing an upward integration of sorts for the San Francisco social micro-blogging service.
We are big fans of HootSuite, their dashboard and the continued improvements the company makes with the user in mind. It is of little surprise to those who use their service that they would top such a survey given that their product speaks for itself.
