Earlier Samsung announced that it was going to opening Apple-like ‘Samsung Experience Shops’ in Best Buy stores across the US. On Thursday, April 25th, the South Korean electronics manufacturer opened its first Samsung Experience Shop in the Best Buy store at Union Square, New York with a bang. To celebrate the occasion, Samsung’s CEO and President of IT and Mobile Business, JK Shin especially took a flight to New York. Along with him President of Samsung Electronics America, Tim Baxter and CEO of Best Buy, Hubert Joly were also present on site. To celebrate the opening of this innovative retail store Samsung also announced a consumer event that featured famous pop singer Bruno Mars.
Samsung Experience Shops are opening just at the right time, as the much talked about flagship smartphone from the Korean company, the Galaxy S IV is about to hit the stores in the coming days. Therefore, it is anticipated that Samsung Experience Shops in Best Buy Stores of the US will help boost the sales of the new device. Samsung is looking to build 1,400 Experience Shops in both Best Buy Mobile and Best Buy stores across America. Those, who use Google, will be able to find Android powered tablets and smartphones from Samsung as well as Chromebooks at these new retail stores of the Korean company. The executives gave remarks on the new experience and officially opened the space to an audience of associates, executives and media. The event is being held to celebrate the opening of Samsung Experience Shops nationwide and the arrival of the Galaxy S® 4.
