Without a doubt the late Steve Jobs was one of the top inventors and entrepreneurs of America business and it is because of this very reason today that every entrepreneur admires him. However, Steve did not achieve all the fame and money suddenly, as he had went through a rough period as well during his professional career but the former chairman and CEO of Apple never gave up until he was recognised as a charismatic pioneer in the field of technology. After that Jobs played a very crucial role in the creation of various top products of Apple and also saved the company from getting default. In addition to this, Steve also oversaw the development of iPod, iPhone, iPad, iTunes and iMac. Therefore, it would not surprise many if an entrepreneur wishes to be the next Steve Jobs, but when popular music producer and artist Kanye West claimed he was the next Steve Jobs many people were left confused.

West made this statement while giving an interview to The New York Times. Here is what Kanye has exactly said, “I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture.” The pop star did not stop at this and used the example of celebrated rapper Notorious B.I.G. and said that after he was put to rest only then, rapper Jay-Z was “allowed to become Jay-Z”. Therefore, in the same way West feels that after Jobs death now it’s his turn to take the thrown and run a billion dollar corporation.

Besides this, the rapper also shed light on his career during the interview as he revealed a few creative processes behind his forthcoming album along with awards and fame he has achieved so far. Here is a excerpt from West’s latest interview:

“I don’t know if this is statistically right, but I’m assuming I have the most Grammys of anyone my age, but I haven’t won one against a white person. But the thing is, I don’t care about the Grammys; I just would like for the statistics to be more accurate.

I’ve been connected to the most culturally important albums of the past four years, the most influential artists of the past ten years. You have like, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Howard Hughes, Nicolas Ghesquière, Anna Wintour, David Stern.

I think that’s a responsibility that I have, to push possibilities, to show people: “This is the level that things could be at.” So when you get something that has the name Kanye West on it, it’s supposed to be pushing the furthest possibilities. I will be the leader of a company that ends up being worth billions of dollars, because I got the answers. I understand culture. I am the nucleus”.
