With summer in full swing many children are finally out of school and enjoying the holidays. In a recent study conducted on behalf of the video service by Ipsos Reid, it was found that, “54% of Canadian parents with children 12 years and under wish it were easier to entertain their family during the summer months.” The study reveals other interesting statistics including the insight that 53% of parents have the most difficulty finding entertaining things for their children on rainy days. 45% of parents have the same problem during road trip and extremely hot days. NetFlix has a solution to that problem and the company is happy to announce its Netflix Families service with its large compilation of movies and TV shows for kids and families.
According tot he company, Netflix Families is “designed to meet family’s summer entertainment needs.” The video streaming site claims that all parents will need to is check out the trusted recommendations provided by Netflix for TV shows and movies that are family friendly. They will also get information on the best ways to stream the content along with video based advice on how other families are utilizing Netflix to entertain he whole family.The company has made the Families page a feature that can be freely accessed by people who are members along with those who are not currently subscribed. This should be a great way to attract new parents and families to try the service and sign up with Netflix. The service like most other videos streaming option from the company can be view from pretty much any device including tablets, computers and laptops.
