Sony is gearing up for the upcoming Mobile Asia Expo where the Japanese electronics maker has scheduled a press meeting and is expected to unveil some new Xperia devices, as indicated by several reports. According to these reports Sony will announce a phablet similar to Samsung Galaxy Note II along with a new edition of its Android-powered smartwatch. However, that is not all that Sony has planned for this year, as Russian Blogger, Eldar Murtazin, has tweeted that he is testing a new version of the company’s latest flagship smartphone, the Xperia Z that boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Besides this Murtazin has also shed some light on the performance of the new processor, as at the end of the tweet he wrote that the Snapdragon 800 processor of the Xperia Z is “really fast”.
The Russian blogger also divulged that the Sony Xperia Z that he had got his hands on sports a similar LCD3 display that one can find on the brand new HTC One smartphone, but Murtazin believes that Japanese OEM would not use this display in the commercial version of the handset. For the reason that the existing edition of Xperia Z features an amazing Full HD 5-inch display that boasts 1080 x 1920 resolution with an outstanding 443ppi pixel density.
Although, Sony has not confirmed so far that whether it is working on such a device or not, but when it comes to leaking the details regarding the upcoming devices Murtazin has a decent reputation but has been wrong with occasionally. Therefore, one cannot out rightly reject the report an in fact it should be taken with a grain of salt because there is a possibility that the handset Murtazin has tested might be Sony i1 Honami model, as it also has a 5-inch screen, but in contrast to Xperia Z it features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.
The super fast processor is not the only awe-inspiring feature of the upcoming Sonyi1 Honami smartphone. Given that reports suggests that the camera of the device will also outshine all other Android handsets, as it is expected to come with interchangeable lens and likely to have IP58 certification for being dust and water resistance. Rumour has it that this smartphone will make its debut sometime in September or October and it will be made available for sale unlocked in the U.S. and free from subsidies on a two-year agreement.
