After numerous leaks, Google has officially unveiled the flagship Nexus 7 tablet on Wednesday, July 24th. The next gen Nexus 7 tablet is not only much lighter and thinner than its predecessor, but it also boasts a high-resolution screen that will certainly put Apple under lot of pressure to bring out a second generation of iPad Mini with Retina Display. As far as the processor of the Nexus 7 is concerned the brand new slate possesses a 1.5Ghz Snapdragon S4 pro processor that makes it 1.8 more powerful and 4 times faster than its previous version.
Besides this the latest Nexus 7 tablet includes a 1.2-megapixel front facing camera along with a 5-megapixel shooter on the back, but it is more suitable for scanning codes, image searching and occasionally playing YouTube videos. Google has also incorporated NFC technology in the new slate in order to enable it to exchange data through other NFC-enabled devices. The price of the 16GB Wi-Fi enabled Nexus 7 is $229, while the 32 GB Wi-Fi model can be purchased for an amount of $269, when it will be made available for sale on July 30th.
