When Motorola launched its brand new smartphone, Moto X, on Thursday, August 1st along with its specs and smart features the Google owned company also made it known that it will initially make the handset available in Canada and US. A day after the main announcement the company confirmed that consumers in the UK would not be able to get their hands on the device, as it will not be made available to them. Nevertheless, this does not mean at all that there is no good news for Moto X fans, as Pocket-lint reported that Motorola has hinted that soon a whole family of Moto X devices will arrive and the company will make them available in more markets.

According to Pocket-lint, Motorola’s spokesperson reassured them the that European market is still on the priority list of the company and that “Moto X is the first device in a new product portfolio, basically a new family of devices.”

“Because it is the first one, the Moto X has had a real buzz around it, but the US launch is not about the US being Motorola’s priority at all, there are devices coming to Europe. We can’t share what they are as of yet, but they are from the same family. They are cool and they are exciting and there is a lot in Europe coming up.”

Pocket-lint was not the only one that was digging to figure out the forthcoming devices from Motorola, as Cnet was also in the race and the site has also made some serious effort to know about the family of Moto X phone. Cnet reported that one of the handset from the new family will be an inexpensive Moto X phone with which Motorola will target emerging markets and prepaid users in the US.

“Next on the company’s hit list is a device that is less expensive than the current Moto X. The device will be designed and priced to appeal to international customers in markets where people generally don’t buy subsidized devices, as well as the prepaid wireless market in the U.S., where wireless consumers are also expected to pay full price for devices.”

Talking to Cnet during an interview, the CEO of Motorola, Dennis Woodside said that we’ll “see additional products within months” under the Moto X brand. Woodside added, “Buying a new iPhone at full price for a prepaid service costs quite a bit of money, especially families who are buying devices for multiple people.”
