Four Out Of Five Facebook Users Daily Log On Via Smartphone or Tablet

Facebook has reached millions of people and affected their behavior patterns on way or the other. Today more than 24 million people every day visit social networking websites like Facebook or Twitter while 33 million people visit each month.

 

On a daily basis, about 20 million – 83% – users access Facebook using their smartphone or tablet computer. According to Facebook, each day 101 million people are attracted towards various mobile applications Facebook offers in the United States.

 

According to a Facebook spokesperson, “We believe brands and businesses should think differently about how people engage with Facebook, especially on mobile. Businesses should focus on people who come back online every single day, because that is how they live their lives.”

 

James Quarles, Facebook’s regional director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa in his statement said, today there are more than 1.1 billion registered global users using Facebook from mobile in the UK.

 

“People start the day with Facebook and especially in the UK, which is a very big mobile market, there is a very high percentage of people signing in on the Smartphone,” he said.

 

On Wednesday 14^th August, Facebook for the first time released its total number of daily users in the United Kingdom. Through this research they came to know that the growth of Facebook users has reached to its saturation point. Use of Facebook from mobile devices has grown up to 20% when compared with the statistics of the last year in the UK. “It’s to make clear our audience is growing both in size and engagement,” said Quarles.

 

Also now the company is thinking to drive advertisements to people’s handsets in order to earn more revenue. According to the latest financial results of Facebook, the company made 41% of its total income from 699 million active users of mobile around the world in the second quarter, while in 2012 it was only 3% in the same quarter. The number is still growing on daily basis.
