Samsung has announced the 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega smartphone about a month ago and after that it has appeared on the list of several Canadian wireless carriers, which indicated that the device will soon make its debut in the country. So finally the wait for Canadians has come to an end, as on Tuesday, August 13th, Samsung made it official that residents of Canada interested in buying the new smartphone will be able to Live Large with the Samsung GALAXY MEGA,’ as it will make the handset available in the coming days. The announcement has created a lot of excitement among Canadians, who were eagerly waiting for the release of the Galaxy Mega.
However, Samsung did not give any hint about the price for the Galaxy Mega and the company did not confirm any carriers, but it is believed that TELUS, Rogers and Bell will be the leading carriers to launch the new Android powered phablet. As far as the features of the 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega are concerned it boasts a 720p display, 1.7Ghz dual-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.9-megapixel front facing camera and it will be running Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 OS. The internal memory of the Mega is 16GB, but users can further boost it up to 64GB with a microSD card.
The gigantic handset has 1.5GB of RAM and a 3,200 mAh battery keeps it alive for a long time. In addition to this, Galaxy Mega is supports LTE network.

Previously a leaked document has revealed that Rogers will release the Samsung Galaxy Mega in early September. So now it seems that the leaked document perhaps had indicated the right launch period of Galaxy Mega in Canada. Hopefully things will become more clear with the passage of time, as it is anticipated that Samsung will soon unveil the exact launch date of the Galaxy Mega along with the names of the wireless carriers, which will offer the smartphone to their customers.
