The IFA 2013 event in Berlin will tip off from September 4th and numerous technology companies will unveil their brand new devices. South Korean electronics maker LG is likely to be one of them, as just nine days before the event the company has rolled out a teaser video of its new tablet, the LG G Pad 8.3. Although, a few online sources had earlier hinted that LG is perhaps developing tablets, but  the teaser of the new G Pad was a revelation for many. This video has confirmed that LG has developed a tablet and it is expected to be seen during the upcoming event.

As far as the teaser video is concerned, LG has rolled it out as a part of its marketing strategy just the way it has done with its recently announced G2 smartphone. The Korean has once again stressed on user experience and feedback, as the new G Pad 8.3 is not just compact enough to be taken any where, but at the same time it is also big enough to allow users enjoy HD movies on it. As expected the LG G Pad 8.3 runs Android and it boasts a Snapdragon 600 processor, which powers the FHD 8.3-inch display of the new slate that has a resolution of 1920×1200.

However, the teaser video did not show the LG G Pad 8.3, but a report came out of Korea which has unveiled the new tablet, as it has shown it along with the flagship smartphone of the company, the G2. The two devices of the company were not much different from each other when it comes to exterior, as G Pad has taken several design cues from the G2. The top-placed speaker, curves and thin bezels of the G Pad are alike the G2, so it expected that users will also love its design as well.

This is not the first time that LG has produced a tablet, as back in 2011 the Korean manufacturer has developed its first ever Android-based tablet and named it LG Optimus Pad. Unfortunately at that point in time LG’s tablet did not do well, so the company decided to discontinue its efforts of building slates. Nevertheless, now it appears that LG has not only decided to compete against the top tech companies in the smartphone market, but in tablet space as well.
