When it comes to buying smartphones Canadians does not always go for a BlackBerry device, as various reports have confirmed that Apple’s iPhone, Samsung’s Galaxy devices and Nokia Lumia handsets are quite popular in the country. Therefore, when the news broke that Rogers will exclusively bring the 41-megapixel Nokia Lumia 1020 smartphone to its consumers in October just like the Lumia 920, lot of excitement was observed among the Canadians. However, this news was incomplete, but do not be afraid as the resulting news would only make us Canadians more happy. According to the MobilSyrup, TELUS has directly informed the site that the wireless carrier will also carry Nokia Lumia 1020.

The interesting thing about the news is that TELUS is going to carry a flagship Nokia Lumia device for the first time after 2012, as during last year the carrier offered Windows Phone-based Lumia 800. Nevertheless, Lumia 1020 is not the only smartphone that TELUS is going to offer to its customers, as the carrier has also made it known that it will also carry the 4.7-inch Nokia Lumia 625. The latter is the biggest Windows Phone mobile that Nokia has launched so far, but unfortunately other than size it’s just an entry-level smartphone all the way till the end.

This could be judged from the fact that Nokia Lumia 625’s display sports just 800×480 pixels resolution, while the processor on the mobile is 1.2 GHz dual-core Snapdragon and it is powered by a 2000mAh battery. As far as the rear camera on the Windows device is concerned its boasts a 5-megapixel camera along with an internal storing capacity of 8GB and 512MB of RAM.

In contrast to the Lumia 625, the Lumia 1020 smartphone has some excellent features, as it has a dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait processor along with a PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack display, 32GB of internal storing capacity, 2 GB of RAM, 41-megapixel rear camera with Xenon & LED flash and 1.2-megapixel front facing camera. So Canadians can either opt for the high-end Windows Phone of Nokia or the low-end, when the TELUS will make both the handsets available for its customers.

More importantly, this report has confirmed that the 41-megapixel Lumia 1020 is not going to come as an exclusive device, as now both Rogers and TELUS are going to carry it. So now all us Canadians need to do is to wait for the release of Nokia Lumia 1020 and 625.
