Kids love to use adults’ gadgets such as laptops and tablets, but there is no doubt that grownups hold their breath when children are using their devices. However, now Samsung has solved this problem and the South Korean manufacturer has introduced a brand new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids on Tuesday, August 27th that is specifically designed for children. The latest tablet has an east-to-grip casing that does not let it slip away from the hands of the children, while its screen recessed and it comes with preloaded kids’ apps. In addition to this, just like Samsung Note, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Kids also comes with a variant of S Pen, which is called the C Pen that allows the children to easily draw anything on the screen of new slate.
To the extent the apps in the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids are concerned the new tablet boasts a decent range of educational, gaming, e-book reading and entertainment applications. More apps can also be downloaded from Kids Samsung Apps, but it can vary from market to market. The tablet also offers parental control that enables the adults or parents to set timing between which their children can use the tablet.
The Galaxy Tab 3 Kids sports a 7-inch display that is powered by a 1.2GHz Dual-Core processor and a 4,000 mAH battery keeps its alive. Moreover, the tablet also features a 3-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera. The slate has 1GB of RAM and the internal storing capacity of the device is 8GB, which can be further boosted with a microSD card. The kids’ device also offers both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Exact pricing and the availability date of Galaxy Tab 3 Kids has not been revealed yet, but it expected to hit the stores in Europe and U.S. in the next quarter, while the price could be $200. The tablet also offers parents the ability to select the apps they want their kids to have access to using the Application Manager.
Developed with kids’ best interests at the forefront, Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids also includes a Time Management feature that allows parents to set specific time periods for use. When the designated use time is up, a password protected lock screen appears, requiring a parent or adult to enter the password to unlock the device. This tool will help parents ensure the time their children spend on smart devices is balanced.
A Kids Case featuring a kids-friendly grip and multiple stand options will also be available for the Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids. The case also comes equipped with an easy-to-grip C Pen, providing fun drawing capabilities without the possibility of leaving marks on other objects.
The Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids will be available in Korea in early September and subsequently available across China, Europe, U.S., Africa, South America and South East Asia.”
