Whether you think that augmented reality projects like Google’s Project Glass, which features a head mounted display that allows you to experience and share the world around you, is a boon or a harbinger of a dystopian future, there is no denying the technology and its potential are absolutely incredible.
An awesome short film has hit the internet showing what our future might be thanks to augmented reality that can be worn within contact lenses. Developed as a graduation project by Isreal’s Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design’s students Eran May-raz and Daniel Lazo, the film explores a day in the life of protagonist Patrick as he interacts with his worlds, both real and augmented.
Patrick’s journey sees him live in a world where augmented gamification and real time user interface interaction is part of everything he does thanks to a company called Sight Systems. The service, known as Sight helps in everything from morning exercise, cooking, clothes selection and dating. The piece is a visual spectacle and presents a lot of interesting issues. It is definitely worth sharing and we hope you enjoy the many things it has to offer.
