Last week was full of stress and worry for New York fashionistas, as several names of iconic designers of the Big Apple were linked to the classic Oscar de la Renta.

The rumors started when it was reported that he had broken the agreement between John Galliano and Oscar de la Renta, because the latter does not have the necessary funds to support the delightfully extravagant creations of former Dior designer. They immediately went to the table names like Jason Wu, Prabal Gurung and Theysekens Olivier, who said he would be willing to let Theory to take the reins of the company of Mr. De la Renta.

Apparently the fuzz caused by the New York fashion crowd, it was a mere rumor. Oscar de la Renta told Vanessa Friedman, fashion editor at the Financial Times, that “there is no kind of search. ” Meanwhile Vogue UK says they have not received any comment from Prabal Gurung, and Jason Wu Theory and have not responded. Although they are only ” rumors” are confident that they already began to think more than one, on the future of one of the most iconic fashion houses of Madison Avenue.
