Following the opening of two retail locations in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Coquitlam, British Columbia (TQ was on it), tech giant and retail sales innovator Apple Inc. has opened their latest Apple Store in Ottawa’s Bayshore Shopping Centre. The location is Ontario’s 11th and the company’s 378th worldwide.
Located in the city’s beautiful west end, Bayshore is currently in the midst of a larger revamping project to increase overall parking space and attract higher profile retailers such as the recently opened Aritzia and Sephora. The location opened its doors on September 8, will the same pomp and pageantry that has become standard practice with each new location.
The Bayshore location represents Apple’s 26th Canadian location and will likely need as many retail locations and geniuses they can get their hands on given the quarter they have upcoming. Apple’s iPhone 5 launch event is scheduled for September 12 with an iPad Mini event expected to follow in October (TQ was on it).
