VIDEO: Must See Lego Machine is So Awesome it Hurts

We have two quick questions for you before we proceed further. Do you like Lego? Do you like awesome? If you answered an emphatic yes to both of those queries than we have got something glorious to share with you. Meet the Lego Great Ball Contraption a labour of love for Lego legend Akiyuki.

 

Built in his home, the project totaled 600 hours of dedicated construction time and is capable of moving one ball per second over a 31 meter course (101.7 feet). All in all, the contraption features 17 modules that is capable of processing 500 balls at a time. The aforementioned modules according to the good people at Gizmodo are as follows:

3. Zigzag lift

4. Pneumatic

5. Cup

6. Screw T1

7. Basket shooter

8. Mechanical train

9. Screw T2

10. Screw T3

11. Spiral lift T2

12. Elevator & coaster

14. Spiral lift T1 & step

15. Catch & release

16. Belt conveyor & pinball

17. 5-axis robot S750
