The past couple of months have seen Apple and Samsung trade blows in the courtroom as well as in the advertising world with Samsung taking targeted shots at the iPhone 5 in both print (see below) and video advertisement.
When push comes to shove however, areas that truly show what a smartphone can do is its browsing speed and processor performance. According to several sources, including the video below, the iPhone 5 is the fastest smartphone to date, even putting a spanking on Samsung’s current flagship model Galaxy S III. The phone which is both thinner and longer than all previous Apple versions as well as the first ever to feature 4G LTE functionality.
Although the iPhone 5 is far from being the first to support 4G LTE networks, it seems to be the one that uses it most effectively based on a myriad of tests. This is true to the point that CNET reviewer Scott Stein noted faster speeds on AT&T’s data network than home Wi-Fi.
According to Mashable a speed benchmarking test was conducted by Austin Evans, who tested using a myriad of benchmarking tools. The results of the tests comparing the iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III worked out as follows.
