For those who don’t know Koodo launched their LTE capability across Canada last Friday. The launch coincided with the iPhone 5 launch date as the Apple device is the first device to be LTE enabled. The TELUS-owned mobile provider benefits from the same coverage area as its parent featuring coverage in locations in B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, P.E.I. and Nova Scotia.
The iPhone 5 and LTE capability will likely bring customers to Koodo as the relatively small player aims to make a dent in the Rogers and Bell dominated industry. TELUS had set the goal to bring LTE to 25 million people across Canada and Koodo is certainly benefiting from the capability.
According to the good people at Mobile Syrup, peak speeds are expected to average 12 to 25 Mbps. If you are considering Koodo for your mobile needs, check out their coverage map to ensure you are covered.
