Anonymous, a well known hacktivist (hacker activists) group, was in the news recently for claiming that they had hacked an FBI agent’s laptop and retrieved 12 million Apple Unique Device Identifiers (UDIDs). The group asserted that only 1 million Apple IDs had been posted online as proof. Anonymous does often leak other less serious types of information just because they can and one such incident took place on earlier this month when the group tweeted teen pop icon Justin Bieber’s address. The news was picked up quickly by the Canadian crooner’s fans from around the world.
The actual message was on @YourAnonNews, which is an Anonymous twitter handle and stated the following:
“For the beliebers out there, your man lives at 25202 Del Prado Grand, Calabasas, CA 91302.”
The thorough journalists over at Betabeat confirmed that the leaked address is indeed correct and that Justin Bieber does in fact live in the sprawling mansion. Betabeat does point out however that the address may have already been available to fans of Bieber as of one month ago.
Bieber reported bought the 9,200 square foot home in the spring of 2012 and lives there with an unidentified roommate. The Los Angeles County Assessor’s office had more details about the house and its files showed that Bieber is living in the 7-year-old home which has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. The singer bought the home for $6,500,065, which is a lot cheaper than the $7.5 million asking price. The mansion is in a gated community and has a high level of security so the star will be safe even though his address is now public.
