Snowed in Studios has released a new game entitled Monster Chase that is geared towards the children of those with iOS, Android, BlackBerry and Windows 7 devices. The game is cited as a means for youngsters to improve their concentration skills, memory while also developing the cognitive ability that comes with chasing monsters out of a bedroom.

Snowed in’s version is a mobile adaptation of the like-named board came series that was created and developed by Quebec-based company Le Scorpion Masqué and innovative board game designer Antione Bauza.

Game-play is based around finding toys within a virtual bedroom. Each toy found dispels a monster from the aforementioned room. As children find the hidden toys, new monsters appear who must be dispelled in a similar fashion. The game play is simple and easy to use, allowing children to grasp it quickly and easily. The concept of the game is similar to another popular children’s card game, Old Maid which factors memory into gameplay. Graphics are vivid and attractive, which we are sure appeals to both toddlers and older children alike.

For those of us who enjoy playing children’s games with their kids, adjustments to difficulty levels and multi-player play allows parents to participate and be challenged by the game as well. We encourage those with youngsters to give this game a try for $0.99. The gameplay trailer is included below.
