The electronics accessory market place is a fast evolving environment. Not only are new products making their way onto the shelves of retailers every day, but accessories have had to push the envelope to distinguish themselves from the crowd. Third party manufacturers try to create accessories that enhance and protect sensitive and valuable products like smartphones and tablets without being cumbersome or hindering performance. ReadyCase has taken its latest product one step further by creating a protector that has other useful features aside from simply protecting a mobile set.

The gadget features seven useful tools in all including a screwdriver, two knives (one with a normal blade and the other a serrated blade), a bottle opener as well as a USB thumb drive that also doubles as a kickstand and a headphone clip to help keep wires neat and collected.

Apart from these wonderful and useful features, the ReadyCase also has couple of cons. For one, the three millimeters thick gadget is not an ideal travelling companion given its blades and screw drivers, something its creators have acknowledged. Plus it cannot protect mobile devices from scratches as well as other commercial cases as it has a big gap in the back that leaves the phone unprotected.

ReadyCase broke on the scene as a result of a crowd funding campaign on Indiegogo, a Kickstarter rival. The campaign was extremely fruitful, exceeding the target goal of $15,000 by collecting $125,467 in pre-orders. This gadget will be available in two colours; black or silver and it will reach early adopters in February 2013.

You can get the ReadyCase in two specifications, as it comes with an 8 or 16 GB USB thumb drive. In addition to this, three removable photo lenses will also come with the case, which can be attached and alternated to capture brilliant photographs.

As far as the pricing, the 8 GB USB model and case is available for $40, whereas the three lenses, case and 16 GB USB thumb drive can be bought for just $50. This device can easily fit on iPhone 4, 4s and 5 plus consumers can carry it in their pocket as easily as any other case. The material from which this device is made is “aerospace grade composite materials” that validates its toughness as well.

All these attributes will soon make ReadyCase a favourite among gadget and accessory fans world round.

This design is wicked! You most certainly know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Excellent job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
