Canadians are expecting to get their hands on LG’s latest, the Optimus G on November 13, as carriers like Rogers, TELUS and Bell will be offering this latest mobile device to their customers. However, to standout among its competitors, Rogers decided to launch a different edition of LG Optimus G that will really benefit from its 2600Mhz LTE (Long Term Evolution) network that has swept consumers off their feet with its screamingly fast download speeds.

The LG Optimus G can reach speeds of 100Mbps on Rogers’ 2600Mhz LTE network.  This is possible because the 2600Mhz LTE network Rogers provides has a hypothetical max speed of 150 Mbps. The restriction of 100Mbps is within the phone itself and not with the network. Therefore, it means that this high speed LTE network can even support a mobile that is capable of 150 Mbps speed.

Moreover, Rogers has also made it clear to their consumers that if there is an LTE signal on AWS phone it will support 2600 Mhz devices such as LG Optimus G.

The carrier stated in a statement that, “The Rogers LTE 2600 MHz bandwidth is in all markets where we offer LTE AWS 2100. In most markets where 2x20MHz (2600MHz) is available, the LG Optimus G is capable of theoretical max speeds of up to 100Mbps. In smaller LTE markets that have 2x10MHz (2600MHz), the LG Optimus G can reach theoretical max speeds of up to 75Mbps.” So now Canadians can buy the LG Optimus G without any fear.

The 2600 Mhz LTE network was initially set up to provide rural regions of Canada with high speed fixed wireless internet service. Rogers set this high speed network in association with Bell and named it Inukshuk Wireless. Later these two companies deployed this high speed LTE network in big cities like Vancouver and Toronto in order to provide their customers high class speed.

Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s very hard to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appearance. I must say you have done a superb job with this. Also, the blog loads super fast for me on Internet explorer. Superb Blog!
