Samsung, the multinational conglomerate group of South Korea is rejoicing over the tremendous success of its recently released phone-tablet hybrid or phablet, the Galaxy Note II. According to the mobile phone maker, sales have reached 3 million units for the Galaxy Note II after just 37 days of its launch, which is a remarkable achievement, particularly for a smartphone that falls in the “new category device”.
Another reason for Samsung to be over the moon is that they have managed to snag such a huge numbers in sales by launching the Galaxy Note II in only five countries, which includes Hong Kong, China, South Africa and South Korea. All things considered, the Galaxy Note II has been able to create a strong impact in the modern world of technology.
However, given that Samsung has achieved their goal selling 3 million units of Galaxy Note II, they and their stakeholders are expecting more from the hybrid device. Given their current sales rate, Samsung is anticipating the sale of more than 20 million units of Galaxy Note II around the globe.
This huge target can is likely to be achieved if Samsung swiftly releases the Galaxy Note II in more countries worldwide along with making it available for sales in bulk in countries that are facing shipment delays. One such country is Canada, where sales of the Galaxy Note II are quite slow because shipments to retail stores and carriers’ sites have been late.
Samsung Canada is very familiar with such problems and they had made the following statement through their social networking website account regarding this situation, “We are working hard to get inventory to all of our carrier and retail partners, however in-store availability will be scarce until we get our full supply to stores over the next two weeks.”
