A Toronto based ad agency, john st. has recently launched a video in which they poke fun at their own industry. This of course is not the first time that someone has mocked the endeavors of their own industry, however the quality and humour involved in this video has been enough to make the video a viral hit.
The video is dubbed BUYRAL – Professional Clicking and it shows the frantic attempts of ad agencies to make the videos of their users go viral. The narrator in the video proposes a solution that sounds pretty simple by stating, “It’s simple. Now you can pay for the clicks you need to make your video go viral.”
This is followed within the video by a room that is filled with several workers, who are repeatedly or hysterically clicking their mouse. The narrator explains this scene by saying that, “We have a vast network of professionals working day and night, constantly clicking on your videos.”
The narrator later delves into the success of the Buyral model and that his company utilizes an army of employers including people of all age groups, ranging from senior citizens to school-aged children who click your videos repeatedly and guarantee their impending virality.
So far this video post from the john st. ad agency has been viewed more than 329,000 times on some video sharing website called YouTube and it has managed to get that many hits in a short period of time. The video (included below) was released November 2 and should continue to garner hits. Let us know what you think!
