New and impactful innovations pop up more frequently than ever before, many of which aim to enhance the way businesses function by automatic and simplifying daily tasks. For the most part, these changes are not only convenient, but incredibly cost effective as compared to the functions they supersede. Following a similar concept, Springwise has introduced a new iPad app that is considered as replacement for the everyday business’ receptionist. This new iPad app is called Reception Messenger and it will allow office visitors to register themselves in without the help of a physical receptionist or administrator.

To avail this incredible service companies and businesses need an iPad at their front premises that has Reception Messenger installed on it. Fair enough, but how does it actually work?

The visitor will first enter the reason for their visit in the Reception Messenger app, post their details (name, company et cetera) followed by them selecting the staff member(s) with whom they wish to meet. After receiving and processing this information, Reception Messenger, which is connected to the various mobile devices of the company’s employees, will send a text message to the selected employee alerting them that someone has arrived at the front desk to meet them.

Upon receiving the message, the employee is able to send a reply to the iPad so as to alert the visitor and provide them with information. With the introduction of this Reception Messenger app the importance of tablets in the workplace have increased, while also becoming a more useful tool.

This means that companies and businesses that may not necessarily have (or chose to spend) the funds can now save the cost of hiring a receptionist by installing this system that comes in three different price ranges. The pricing starts from $99 each month for business or company that have 1 to 49 staff, $149 a month for companies with 50 to 99 employees and $ 249 per month for companies with over 100 employees. Each option presents significant savings as compared to a hired individual.

Perhaps the app’s greatest asset is that businesses can tailor Reception Messenger as per their liking in order to match their branding. In addition to this, they can also add voice prompts to this service as per their requirement to enhance the overall experience.
