There was lot of hype among the gadget freaks regarding the release of the super union-ed Samsung Google Nexus 10 as analysts around the world had dubbed this device the “mother of all tablets” due to an exhaustive and impressive feature list that puts it at the top of the class. The demand it seems, was so great that a mere two days after it was made available for sale on the Google Play Store, the entire stock of WiFi only devices were sold out.
As a result potential buyers of the tablets, both the 16GB and 32GB versions will be greeted with a “SOLD OUT” message rather than the pleasing “Purchase Item” on the Play Store site. In spite of moving an impressive number of units Nexus 10 failed to beat the sales record held by the Nexus 4 phone.
Thus far both Google and Samsung have not made any official announcements regarding the availability of Nexus 10s moving forward. This suggests that it will take Google a few weeks to receive the next batch of tablets from their Korean counterparts as mass producing such an elaborate device takes time, to which Apple can also attest.
Canada was among a select group of nations that were privy to the excellent device before anyone else along with the UK, Australia and Germany. In the mean time, Google can rejoice in the sheer sales numbers of its other device, the Nexus 7 (3G). This latest device by Google was released for sale on Tuesday and was sold out on Google Play despite being the one of the most high-priced phones in the market.
