Popular free personalized radio service Pandora has finally launched the latest version of its Android app on Thursday, which has got its cue from the recent edition of its iPhone app. Now Android users in the U.S. will also get to experience the same great features, which iPhone users have been enjoying.
Users can get this new Android app of Pandora from Google Play now and can stream their favourite music or comedy on their smartphones from this leading internet radio service.
The updated features on Pandora’s Android app are song lyric integration, social sharing and similar types of other information which every music aficionado can appreciate. The top feature of this latest version is that it can search for a wider range of similar or related music, which will give users more variety. Users will also be able to take a quick view of the details of each station to see what peaks their interest.
As far as its usability is concerned, this Android app by Pandora allows users to edit their shuffle directly from the device. In addition to this users can also find new music by following other Pandora users’ music feed.
The commendable thing about this updated version is that the team that built this latest app for Pandora added new features into it without upsetting “the essential simplicity of Pandora”, says CTO of Pandora, Tom Conrad.
However, it is notable that Pandora’s iPhone app and Android app are different from one another when it comes to design choices such as buttons placements, et cetera, but their features are similar. In the near future, iPad users will also be able to enjoy the same features soon as Pandora is working on the required app, says Conrad. Aside from this a dedicated Android app is also in the pipeline, but Pandora will release it only when they are done with the iPad version.
