Today we will introduce you to a new type of gadget bag that can do more than just carrying, protecting and charging your mobile devices. This Kickstarter project is called Phorce and it has top features like alerting its owner through an Android or iOS app if they forget to carry it along. Moreover, this smart bag can also transform from a messenger bag to a rucksack instantly and weighs a mere 3.7 lbs or 1.7 kg. Most importantly it looks terrific on the shoulder, if that matters to you.
Phorce was created by famous entrepreneur and scholar of the Kauffman Foundation, Marijin Berk in association with James Jeffrey, a case designer, who believe that Phorce is the first smart bag in the world. The purpose to create this bag was to offer people a smart bag through which they can charge their laptops, mobile phones, tablets or speakers at the same time, as it has got 3 USB charging ports plus a MacBook power port to charge a MacBook.
This bag also features Bluetooth connectivity that enables it to integrate with the smartphone of the owner. It can update its owner on how much power is left, how many times it can charge his or her mobile devices plus it also informs holder when it requires charging and when its battery is low. Its Bluetooth connectivity also warns owner when they leave Phorce behind at the office, store or anywhere else, an incredible feature.
If you think that this is all that Phorce has to offer then think again, as this gadget bag can give its owner an extra 7 hours of computing if they charge their MacBook Air in this backpack. Furthermore, it can charge a Samsung Galaxy S III six times andan iPhone 5 more than eight times, which is remarkable.
The bag can also fit a 15 inch MacBook and 14 inch laptop in the padded pockets of Phorce. On top of it, despite having four charging ports and efficient charging ability, the 54 Wh battery of this bag takes no more than 4 hours to get fully charged.
Initially Jeffery and Berk will launch two versions of Phorce during this week through which they aim to gain $150,000 on Kickstarter. Of these two versions, the retail price of the entry-level bag is going to be around $349 with Kickstarter backers being able to acquire it for $219.
On the other hand, the second version of this bag, Phorce for Mac comes with an additional port to power MacBook and its retail price will be $499, whereas supporters of Kickstarters can have it for just $299.
