Social media giant Twitter will have some tricks up its sleeve for the highly anticipated iOS 6 platform. The word comes courtesy of 9to5 Mac.

According to the leaked release notes, Twitter for iPhone 4.3 will feature a plethora of changes to make the overall experience more interactive with content previews, videos and images being shown within tweets that feature links to “partner websites”.

Other changes that should prove popular include the ability to apply push notifications to specific people’s tweets, as well as the ability to click on a user’s avatar in order to be taken directly to that individual’s profile page. Non interruptive notifications will also be featured in the status bar while using the app.

Beyond the aforementioned, other reported changes include highlighted and curated tweets pertaining to certain events, autocorrect being included under the “Connect” tab, as well as the “Discover” tab alerting users when new content is available to be explored.

Although no official date has been given for the update, we anticipate that it will be available soon. iOS 6 is expected to be released along with the sixth generation iPhone this fall.

Twitter has already proven their ability to generate mobile revenue, and all things considered represent the best that social media has to offer in our mobile world.
