Apple‘s iPhone 5 made its debut on Canadian soil on September 21, leading to thousands of people rushing to their local stores and retailers for the latest edition of the iPhone device. All iPhone 5 devices sold in Canada thus far have been locked by local retailers including the likes of Rogers, Bell and TELUS all of whom require contracts and plans in place for the device.

As a result, those looking to buy unlocked versions of the iPhone 5 had to go to Apple’s online store. However, now after two months of the original release of the iPhone 5 in Canada, people in the country can finally buy unlocked version of this smartphone from their nearest Apple store. All Canadians need to do is to simply walk into an Apple store and buy this unlocked iPhone 5 at the price of its locked edition.

Those who were awaiting this news can now rejoice. Enjoy the device or if you are gifting it to someone, the look on their face when they fondle their unlocked iPhone 5.
